Alina is a non-binary Nehiyaw (Cree) artist and writer from Little Pine First Nation in western Saskatchewan. They write popular comic scripts, short stories, and TTRPG (Tabletop Role Playing Game) supplements. Their stories and artwork have been featured in several commercial comic book anthologies (including Moonshot Vol. 2 & 3), and they also work in animation and digital effects. Their work can be seen in the Gemini Award-winning children’s animated series Wapos Bay. Alina is best known as the creator for the Aurora Award-winning webcomic, Weregeek.

As part of the screenwriting team, Alina has worked to bring the sci-fi series “Synthesis” from conception to fully developed series, including a fully scripted pilot episode and full-length trailer. They also serve as a cultural consultant for the Indigenous content within the series, including the ship’s captain, a powerful Indigenous woman in a decolonized future.
